We can no longer afford to underestimate the climate emergency. To avert irreversible, catastrophic consequences, we need to act urgently and decisively. As the years roll by, the climate clock keeps ticking. Atmospheric carbon is already past the limit for climate stability. We have already blown past the 1.5 celsius mark – the threshold, scientific studies suggest, will unleash major planetary damage. This will lead to problems we’re not ready to handle – crop failures, climate refugees, floods, draughts, wildfires etc. We need to act NOW, with urgency. We need to throw weight behind a portfolio of climate solutions, and help them scale quickly. This is the genesis of CCF.
